The programme of the t-u-b-e stands for a sensual and vivid experience in the tonal and spatial border zone of music. This musical multi-dimensionality could be reproduced only insufficiently with hitherto techniques (e.g. the stereo CD). But thanks to the continuously spreading DVD Surround technologies and to the special microphony installed in the function room, it was possible to the t-u-b-e to record this special production in autumn 2003.
There were invited sound artists who had already attracted attention by their experimental space-sound performances and their special experimental electro-acoustic live music. As a result, the specific t-u-b-e live sound is spatially reproduced together with the exciting artistic acoustic events and made accessible to the listener at home. The artists presented are Frank Niehusmann, Thomas Lehn, Adriana Sá, Lou Mallozzi/Michael Vorfeld, Heinz Weber, Jens Brand, and Johannes Sistermanns/Kazuya Ishigami.
