The Japanese composer Hiromi Ishii (studies with, among others, Wilfried Jentzsch in Dresden, Tsuneya Tanabe in Tokyo and Simon Emmerson at the City University, London) presents electroacoustic music and compositions based in traditional music with live electronics. Participants are, besides herself: Fumiko Hatayama (alto), Kazuyuki Shiotaka (satsuma-biwa), Sachio Suginuma (shakuhachi), vocal modern under the direction of Christfried Brödel with Victoria Brudal as narrator. Hiromi Ishii is a member of DEGEM and has been guest composer at ZKM in Karlsruhe in 2006. Her music has been presented by the British Sonic Arts Network and broadcast by the WDR, MDR, Radio Berlin and Radio Antwerp.
