Robbert, Annette
Annette Robbert was born in Berlin. She received her musical education at the Universtät der Künste in Berlin and, as a Fulbright scholar, at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in the United States. As a soloist, she was a member of the ensemble of the opera houses in Saarbrücken, Freiburg, and Nuremberg, and since then has appeared as a guest in the opera houses of many cities including Cologne, Düsseldorf, and Munich (Nationaltheater), singing classical roles as well as contemporary compositions by Rihm, Cage, Crumb, Bauckholt, Nyman, Feldman, Trojahn, and Stäbler. An important focus of her work has been the realization of music theater projects by Eberhard Kloke that blur the conventional borders between opera and concert performance. The media project www.samplosition_audio21 seeks to explore new and “unheard-of” aspects of the works of Schubert, Ives, Wagner, Poe, Camus, Berg, and Bach.
