Siedlik, Dariusz
Born in Czestochowa, Poland, Dariusz Siedlik (baritone) studied singing at the Hochschule for Music in Cracow with Helena Lazarska and Wojciech Smietana; he also studied sacred music at the Theological Academy in Cracow.  He attended master classes with Aldo Baldin, Andreas Schmidt, and Astrid Varnay. In 1991 and 1992, he received a scholarship from the city of Nuremberg to study at the Meistersinger Conservatory with Barry Hanner. From 1992-1994, Siedlik was a member of the opera studio of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. Since 1994, he has been a member of the chorus in the Nuremberg State Theater, where he has also performed solo roles such as Sid in Britten’s Albert Hering, Ruggiero in Orlando furioso, Papageno in The Magic Flute, Pappacoda in Eine Nacht in Venedig, Perchik in Fiddler on the Roof, and Ben-Sélim in Dom Sébastien, roi de Portugal.  With a repertoire ranging from the Baroque to contemporary music, Siedlik is a much sought-after soloist both in Germany and abroad.
