Keating, Roderic M.
After completing his studies in the United States, the British tenor Roderic M. Keating debuted at the Theater an der Wien. He has performed in festivals in Edinburgh, Salzburg, Vienna, and Schwetzingen and been a guest performer in Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Cologne, at Covent Garden, in Paris, Bologna, Trieste, Tibilisi, and Tel Aviv. He attracted international attention in the role of Piet vom Fass in Ligeti’s "Le grand Macabre". That was followed by many productions of contemporary operas, including works by Philip Glass, Udo Zimmermann, and Hans Werner Henze. In 1986 he transferred to Bonn and in 1989 to Stuttgart. Roderic M. Keating teaches and also performs in a broad repertoire as an oratorio singer and as a soloist with important orchestras.
