Novichenko in 2005 and participated in master classes by Elena Obraztsova and Luciano Pavarotti. She debuted in 1998 with the North Ossetian State Philharmonic; for her opera debut in 2004 she sang Mimi in Puccini’s “La Bohème”. She has been a guest performer in China, South Korea, Great Britain, and Lithuania. She has received prizes in the international Glinka Competition (Astrakhan, 2003), the All-Russian Competition for Young Opera Singers (Sankt Petersburg, 2003), and the Maria Callas Grand Prix (Athens, 2005). Veronika Dzhioeva’s repertoire includes the roles of Fiordiligi (“Cosí fan tutte”, Mozart), Tatyana (“Eugene Onegin”, Tchaikovsky), and Semfira (“Aleko”, Rachmaninoff). At the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theater, where she has been guest soloist since 2006, she plays the roles of the Countess (“Le nozze di Figaro”, Mozart) and Mimi (“La Bohème”, Puccini) under the direction of Teodor Currentzis.
